We have had a great Cross Country season!! Thanks to all our enthusiastic runners and wonderful parents who cheered us on and gave support where it was needed!!
Good luck to our State runners who compete in Clarksville on Oct. 10th! And to our runners who choose to continue to run as a club at the Trailblazer and Knoxville State meet!!
The inaugural TMSAA Cross Country State Championships will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Clarksville, Tennessee on the property of the Hilldale Family Life Center.

Our next meet is at Warrior's Path State Park on Thursday, Sept. 3rd! Three activity vans will leave from LBMS at 3:15. One activity van will return to LBMS after the races are complete. Awards are scheduled for 6:00. We should be back to school by 7:00. The first race is JV girls at 4:15! Check the schedule for all the race start times. If you are taking your child with you, remember to fill out a parent pick up form. I will have the forms in a folder and you can add Thursdays date to your first form if you wish!
We will be letting runners know on Monday which race they will be running in. The top 10 runners in the scrimmage will be running in the Varsity race this Thursday.
The Parent Pick up Form is on our website under the Sports/Clubs tab. Click directly on this tab and not the drop down option. Please use this form if you plan to take your child with you from the meet. If you know you will be taking your child with you after every meet, you can put all the dates on the form and I will keep this with me. Otherwise, you will need to fill out a form at every meet. I will always have a few copies with me, but you will have to find me to fill it out and it will be easier if you can just hand it to me or Nutter.
Practice will be directly after school until 4:00 every day except on Wednesdays!
Warrior’s Path State Park - Take Hwy. 36 toward Kingsport. Go approximately 10 miles and turn right on Colonial Heights Road. Go about 2 miles and cross RR tracks and turn right at the intersection. Take your first right into the park. We begin the race at the soccer fields toward the back of the park.
Domtar Park – From interstate 26, take exit 51 (Wilcox Drive). Go straight at the bottom of exit ramp and continue on Wilcox Dr. for 2 miles. Get in the right lane. As soon as you cross a bridge, turn right onto Jared Dr. and take immediate right onto Riverport Road. Go 2 miles. Turn right into park.

Welcome to Cross Country at Liberty Bell! We are thrilled to have runners! We will begin tryouts after school on Thursday, August 13th. Practices will be held at Liberty Bell on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday until 4:00. Parents will need to pick up runners at the loop close to the tennis courts. Students must have the following to participate: (forms can be printed from the website)
· physical on file at the school and dated after April 15, 2015
· consent form (page 5 of the physical form on the web)
· Concussion form
· Transportation form
· Hazing form (can be picked up in the office)
Also, student’s grades and conduct the last 9 weeks of school will determine eligibility to participate in fall sports. Students will not have more than 2 D’s, 2 N’s, and no F’s, or U’s.
Cross Country information will be updated on the www.jcschools.org website. The schedule will be posted as soon as it is available, but be aware that changes do occur. Updates will be highlighted. Check race days for changes!
Transportation will be activity vans. We may also need some parent volunteers.
Participation fee of $25.00 needs to be paid before the first scrimmage on August 27th. We have school uniforms that runners will use and return.
Runners will need to bring water bottles that they can fill up before practice! Coaches cannot supply 50 waters everyday. And coaches are not a recycling center. It’s HOT so we need to keep our bodies hydrated. Bring a bottle that you can keep up with and put your name on it.
Rules: Be a team player! Support each other at all times! Treat everyone with respect. Clean up area! Cell phones, ipods, or electronic equipment are NOT permitted when running.
Plan to: work hard, have fun, and become a team that supports one another. We will strive to do our personal best at each practice and meet. We compete against many schools in the area.
